What this policy covers

This policy covers Browser Free on-device processing, version-pinned model downloads, Cloud Unblur uploads and generated outputs, third-party AI processing, project-controlled storage, account data, Product Credits, payment references, analytics, abuse-prevention signals and deletion requests.

Data users provide

Users may provide images, name and email, authentication and account details, task information, order or payment references, and support messages. We also process limited device, network, security and abuse-prevention signals, such as IP-derived rate-limit data, when needed to protect and operate the service.

How data is used

We use this data to provide local or cloud processing, authenticate users, deliver and restore Product Credits, maintain private task and payment history, prevent fraud or abuse, respond to support and deletion requests, measure product reliability, and meet accounting or legal obligations.

Browser Free processing

When Browser Free is selected, the chosen image is processed on the user’s device and is not uploaded to Unblur Image or an AI provider. Files required for local AI processing are downloaded when processing starts, and the processing path and output adapt to the device. The local result exists only in the current tab and disappears when the tab is refreshed or closed.

Chrome extension processing

The Sharpniq Image Clarity Checker runs only after the user invokes it. It locally compares the rendered and intrinsic dimensions of visible images in the active tab, returns aggregate checked and highlighted counts to the popup, and adds or removes temporary outlines. The extension does not inspect image pixels, retain results, or collect, store, sell or transmit page URLs, website content, browsing history, images or personal information. Its website button includes campaign parameters for referral attribution, but the extension does not read or retain website analytics.

Cloud Unblur processing

Cloud Unblur uploads the image only after the user selects that mode and starts processing. The current cloud route sends the image to Fal.ai for AI processing and copies a usable result to project-controlled storage. Fal.ai and any replacement provider process data under their own terms and retention practices. Cloud Unblur is never started automatically after a browser failure.

Storage and deletion

Uploaded originals and generated outputs in project-controlled storage are scheduled for deletion after 24 hours. Task, credit, security and payment records may be retained longer where needed to operate the service, and third-party services may have their own limits.

Accounts, credits and payment providers

We retain authentication data, Product Credit ledger entries, order status, provider transaction references, invoice links and support context as needed for security, billing, fraud prevention and legal obligations. Checkout is hosted or processed by the provider identified before purchase. Stripe processes current Product Credit payments; if a checkout identifies Creem, Creem acts as merchant of record and handles payment collection, invoicing and applicable indirect taxes. We do not store full card numbers or card security codes.

Analytics, cookies and safety

Configured analytics may receive page, device and product-event data. Unblur product events are designed not to include image content, filenames, account email or provider credentials. Cookies or similar storage may support authentication, preferences, security and analytics when those features are active.

Service providers and international processing

Data may be processed by hosting, storage, authentication, email, analytics, security, AI and payment providers where needed to deliver the service. Their systems may operate in countries other than the user’s country. We do not publish user uploads as examples or gallery content without a separate lawful basis or permission.

Deletion and contact path

Users can request access, correction or deletion review through the data deletion or contact page. We may verify account ownership before acting. Third-party processing limits and payment, tax, fraud, security, dispute or abuse-report record requirements may affect what can be deleted.

Policy updates

This page will be updated when processing, storage, analytics, support or payment flows change. Unsupported privacy claims are intentionally omitted.

Questions this page answers

Are uploaded images public?

Cloud Unblur images and results are not published in a public gallery or reused as product examples by default. Public examples are used only when they are owned, licensed or supplied with consent.

Are images processed by third-party AI services?

Not in Browser Free. Cloud Unblur uses third-party processing services after the user explicitly selects and starts that mode.

How long are images stored?

Browser Free results remain only in the current tab and disappear after refresh or close. Cloud Unblur originals and outputs in project-controlled storage are scheduled for deletion after 24 hours; third-party services may apply separate retention limits.

Can I delete my image or result?

Use the data deletion page. Project storage deletion and third-party service limits are handled as separate review items.
